Trust endowment announced at launch of Centre for Leadership and Social Impact [30.09.2008]

Trust Chairman Darvell Hutchinson formally announced the Trust's $1.5m endowment for the Helen Macpherson Smith Chair of Leadership for Social Impact at the launch of Melbourne Business School's Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Social Impact.

The Centre was officially launched on Wednesday 27th August, by His Excellency, Mr Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Security of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.

The Prime Minister discussed the importance of education to the development of the Timor-Leste nation and the School announced three scholarships to be provided to assist Timor-Leste build leadership and management capability.
